£125,000 Sports Council for Wales Funding
Dr Jacquelyn Allen-Collinson of the Qualitative Research Unit has been awarded £125,000 from the Sports Council for Wales to conduct a research project to evaluate the Mentro Allan (Venture Out) Programme. Mentro Allan aims to increase and sustain increased physical activity levels amongst target groups of relatively inactive people in Wales.
The project includes funding for a 100% Research Fellow, Dr Aspasia Leledaki of the QRU, and will be conducted in collaboration with the Countryside & Community Research Institute.
