CLES success at the Professional Services Recognition Awards

The Professional Services Recognition Awards entered its fourth year on Friday 11th July with one of awards going to the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.

The CLES Purchasing Team was the winner in the ‘Outstanding Team Improvement of the Year’ award. Huge congratulations to them for this fantastic achievement.

CLES also had staff nominated in other categories. Alison Hume and the Sport and Health Sciences Education Team were nominated in the ‘Outstanding Customer Service Award’ and Kristy Flowers, a Teaching and Research Technician from CLES Cornwall was nominated for the David Allen Hero/Heroine of the Year Award. Congratulations to them for getting shortlisted for these awards.

In total 560 nominations were received from staff and students across six categories - a 276% increase on the 149 nominations received in 2013. 

Speaking at the end of the evening Geoff Pringle said: “I was delighted to see the variety of projects that PS staff undertake across the University that contribute towards making this such a fantastic place to work and study. All the winners thoroughly deserved their award and I congratulate them, but I am also immensely proud of the whole PS team who all play their part in the overall success of the institution.”
