Dr Vanhatalo's research recognised by the Physiological Society

Dr Anni Vanhatalo has been awarded the 3rd place prize in the Physiological Society Blue Riband competition for the best conference communication by an Affiliate Member.

Anni competed against around 50 other scientists from a wide range of sub-areas within Physiological Society, receiving the award for her paper entitled ‘Influence of hyperoxia on the power-duration relationship during high-intensity exercise in humans: a 31P-MRS study’. This research has provided novel insights into the muscle metabolic origins of the power-duration phenomenon.
