£62,500 Kellogg's grant success

Associate Professor Craig Williams, of the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre, has been awarded a grant from Kellogg’s Ltd to investigate ‘Energy Balance in Young People’ in collaboration with the Faculty of Health and Social Work at the University of Plymouth.

This project aims to investigate the relationships between energy intake, expenditure, balance and health in young people. The research, in conjunction with local schools in the Exeter and Plymouth areas, will examine the dietary and activity habits in primary and secondary school aged children. Both institutions have access to the latest range of anthropometric, physiological and nutritional measurements applicable for this study.
