Nuclear industry immersive training: Developing a virtual reality tool for personal protective equipment training

The aim of this project is to design and develop a virtual reality simulation training tool, which can be used by nuclear industry operatives to train procedures and processes relating to the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

The VRS training tool is an immersive, high fidelity, virtual reality training tool which will enable trainees to practise and rehearse procedures relating to PPE, to ensure that these procedures are effective and safe, before performing them in 'the real-world‘.

The work is funded by a grant from Innovate UK and Sellafield Ltd. The VR development and delivery of training is provided by industry partners Cineon Training.
