Kate Sansum
Research Student

Profile

I am a placement student from the University of Bath where I am studying BSc Sport and Exercise Science with Professional Placement. I have completed two years of my degree so far and during my third year, I am working in the Children’s Health and Exercise Research Centre (CHERC) as a research assistant before returning to Bath in September 2018 to complete my final year of my undergraduate degree. From my degree so far, I have found the physiology modules particularly interesting and I have enjoyed working with children in the past, so the opportunity to combine both of these areas was what drew me to apply for this placement. Throughout my time at Exeter, I will be involved in a number of projects with Masters students, PhD students and academics to expose me to the research environment to help develop my laboratory skills and academic writing. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to continue into postgraduate study.
