In 2012 I was appointed as a Lecturer in Paediatric Exercise and Health, where I am focusing my research interest on the effects of a variety of sports on body composition and metabolism changes in adolescents.

Broad research specialisms:

I am a sport scientist with a range of interests mainly related to public health. My research has been mainly related to the benefits of physical activity on bone health in adolescents in order to prevent osteopenia and or osteoporosis. In addition, I like to do research on the associations between sedentary time, sedentary behaviors and obesity, all done from the public health perspective.
