Overview
Alex is a highly experienced systematic reviewer and information specialist who joined PenTAG as a Research Fellow in September 2023.
He began working in systematic reviews and health technology assessments of research evidence in healthcare in 2011 and has primarily spent the intervening years producing guidelines on behalf of the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and for specialist NHS services.
Alex’s current role in PenTAG is to evaluate health technologies for national policymakers.

Research
Research interests
In Alex’s current role, he appraises manufacturer evidence submissions in the Single Technology Appraisal process and these commonly utilise real-world data. His research interests are in systematic review conduct and methodology given the increased use of real-world data.
