Research interests

My research interests are centred around learning how to teach with a particular focus on physical education student teachers' subject content knowledge and the role that collaborative and interdisciplinary learning plays in developing student teachers' subject and pedagogical content knowledge.

Research projects

2012-2013 (DfE) How schools provide creative futures for young people with SEN/D particularly in relation to physical education and school sport. With Anna Craft, Alison Black, Rebecca Costello and Margo Greenwood; University of Exeter). This was a Department for Education-funded National Project (£35,000) which explored SEND (special educational needs & disability) children’s participation, progression and competition in physical education and school sport in mainstream secondary and special schools in England.
