Overview
After completing my undergraduate and doctoral degree at the University of Birmingham I joined the department of Sport and Health Sciences in September 2012 as a postdoctoral research fellow working with Professor Peter Krustrup. I was researching the effects of football on bone health.
In July 2013 I started as a Lecturer in Physiology and Nutrition. In July 2019 I was promoted to my current position of Senior Lecturer. I have various teaching responsibilities within the department including Director of Undergraduate Studies, Flexible Combined Honours co-ordinator and programme advisor for the joint programme with Medical Sciences, Sport and Exercise Medical Sciences. I am a member of the BioActivEx research group. My research interests include how bioactives can be used to improve both health and performance.
