Student satisfaction: 1st in England, 3rd in the UK

Exeter ranks first in England and third in the UK for Sport Science*, according to the National Student Survey. The School has sustained its place in the UK’s top three Sport Science departments for the last three years.

In response to the annual survey Sport Science students from 67 universities and colleges in the UK rated their overall satisfaction and their institutions' teaching, assessment and feedback, academic support, organisation and management, learning resources, and personal development.

Head of School, Professor Roger Eston said: 'It's great to see that the hard work of the academic, technical and administrative staff in the School of Sport and Health Sciences is recognised yet again by our students. To hold this position for the last three years is exceptional and is testament to the overall quality of the student experience at Exeter, particularly as the number of Institutions in our discipline has increased from 53 to 67, and more than twice as many students responded from Exeter than the two Institutions ranked above us (Glyndwr had 26 respondents, Aberystwyth 49 and Exeter 104)'.

* Based on the average of positive responses across all survey categories for the 67 full service universities reviewed (ie, excluding specialist colleges).
